Standard Check-in / Check-out time

What is the standard check-in/out time in the hotels?

The standard check-in time is after 1400 hrs (local time) and check-out time is 12 noon. Please check with the agent for policy of the selected hotel.

 

Package Rate

What do you mean by "Per person on twin sharing basis"?

This means the rates are for one person, when the accommodation is on twin-sharing, i.e., two people are sharing the room. Single occupancy has different rates, please contact our travel consultant for these

rates.

 

Hotel /Service Apartment Cancellation Policies/Charges

What are the hotel cancellations policies/charges

The cancellation policy is specific to the hotel and rate that you are booking. On the Review Itinerary Page you can see the cancellation policy for the room and rate that you are trying to book.

 

E-Ticket

What happens if I am not carrying a copy of my E-Ticket to the airport?

If you fail to carry a printout of your E-Ticket, you will need to go to the airline counter at the airport and request for an E-Ticket copy by providing the PNR number of your reservation. The PNR number ( You can find this unique number on the top  of your E-ticket page issued by Discover The World Holidays.).

I have booked a Holiday Package,when will I get the vouchers?

10 days before the actual departure date, will be sent to you by e-mail.

 

Hotel/Service Apartment Details

How will I get the hotel contact details? Do I have to call you?

The hotel/ Sevice Apartment  details - Contact Number, Email Id, Address.. Will be mentioned on the vouchers which you will receive once the booking is confirmed.

What kind of vehicle will be provided for the travel?

The vehicle type depends on the group size. These range from air-conditioned cars to air-conditioned coaches.

Why is the hotel "On Request"

"On Request" indicates that the hotel may or may not be available. Our team will contact the hotel and get back to you within 3 business hours with a confirmation.

There is no specific date, however it is advisable to book your tour well in advance to procure hotel reservations.

What is the hotel's phone number?

The hotel's phone number will be sent to you by email upon completing the booking. You don’t need to call the hotel for confirming your booking. We have a team that ensures re-confirmation of your booking with the hotel.

 

Mid-Tour Cancellation

Can I cancel my Holiday tour midway?

Yes, you can but the amount would be non-refundable

 

Infant/Children Age Stipulations

At what age is an air passenger considered an infant/child?

Any child 16 years of age or under may be regarded as a minor by airlines and therefore may be prevented from travelling on their own. As such each airline has specific regulations regarding minors travelling alone. For more information and to place a booking for an unaccompanied minor please call us

What is a holiday package?

A holiday package combines flights/trains with hotels and/or sightseeing activities into one price.

 

Hotel Booking/Service Apartment Confirmation and Voucher

I have booked a room. What happens next?

Once you have booked a hotel with Discover The World Holidays you will get a confirmation mail & a call from our Travel Consultant at the email ID given by you at the time of the booking. This confirmation mail is your hotel voucher whose print needs to be taken and shown at the hotel reception desk at the time of check in.

 

Early Check-In/Out Availability

Is it possible to get early/late Check-In/Out?

Most hotels in India usually have Check-In and Check-Out timings set at 12 Noon. Though there are some hotels that may allow an early Check-In or late Check-Out, it depends on the availability of the rooms that the hotel might have at its disposal at that time. Further, there are also chances that a hotel may charge you for one day extra in the case of an early Check-In or late Check-Out. Should you have any such requirement do let us know which hotel you have booked or are interested in booking, and we will find out the timings for you as well as any other information that you may require.

 

Confirm Hotel Booking /Service Apartment

How do I know that the hotel room I have booked is confirmed?

Bookings made on Discover The World Holidays are absolutely confirmed. You will be sent a confirmation email upon completing the booking. You need to carry a print of this email at the hotel while checking in. In case your hotel is "On Request", we will work on the confirmation and get back to you within 3 business hours.

Travelling With An Infant

I am travelling with an infant. Is there anything special I need to know?

Babies between the ages of 0 to 2 years are considered to be an infant.
Infants are not allocated separate seats.
For an infant ticket, it is mandatory to carry the birth certificate of the infant along with the ticket.
